Coast Guard Offers Two Boating Safety Classes — November 7



On Saturday, November 7, the US Coast Guard will offer two opportunities at Goodwin for students and employees to learn about boating safety. “Suddenly in Command” is a boating safety primer on what to do in an emergency. Topics include vessels, operating principles, and avoiding boating mishaps. This class runs 8 to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for Goodwin students and faculty with identification. “How to Read a Nautical Chart” will cover interpreting a chart’s contents to navigate safely. A text and training chart is included in the fee. This class will run from noon to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $30 for Goodwin students and faculty with identification.
