Important News - Nursing Students

Please note: Starting January 2017 the Goodwin College Nursing Program will change to the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) for its pre-entrance exam. Please contact Janice Watts, Department Chair, at jwatts@goodwin.edu if questions.

Police Training Alert

Please note: The East Hartford Police Department will be using College-owned, unoccupied properties at 35 and 39 Willowbrook St. for police K-9 training today, June 13, from approximately 4 to 8 p.m. Facilities will have appropriate signage posted, and no Goodwin-related traffic is expected at that time. We just wanted the community to be aware in case police cars or activity are seen in the area.

Also, we have just been notified that as of this afternoon, the intersection of Ensign and Riverside is closed, as mentioned in last week’s message to the community. Please follow signs for detours.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Please contact Rich Vibberts at rvibberts@goodwin.edu with questions.

Congratulations Scholarship Recipients!

Cone Zone - Construction Alert!

Beginning the week of June 13, Goodwin is overseeing the reconstruction of a portion of Ensign Street at Riverside Drive. The road will be closed for approximately two weeks. Detour signs will direct traffic through King Court to Willow Street to access Riverside Drive. Total construction period will be six to eight weeks. For those coming from Main Street, turning directly onto Willow Street is probably a preferred alternative route. Although this will be a temporary inconvenience, the new roadway and sidewalks, improved lighting, and emergency blue light towers on either side of the highway will benefit everyone. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Rich Vibberts at rvibberts@goodwin.edu or 860-913-2023.

Bookstore Closed for Inventory – June 30

The Bookstore will be closed Thursday, June 30, for annual inventory. This closure may impact students purchasing textbooks for Module 2 Summer courses. Textbooks are currently in stock for all Module 2 courses. Students may also place book orders online at www.goodwin.bkstr.com. Any online orders placed during the June 30 closure will be filled on re-opening of business Friday, July 1. For questions, contact the Bookstore at 860-727-6721.
