Descriptions are available by logging onto www.bushnell.org. Hover over SHOWS AND CONCERTS, click on ONLINE GROUP PROGRAM and enter the password HORACE, complete and submit the form. You will be contacted with prices, availability and for payment. Shows through this program are available up to 2 weeks prior to curtain. No exchanges, cancellations, or refunds will be granted. Winter/Spring Adult Continuing Ed Classes Begin March 11th - Know an interested senior?



 Goodwin College has announced its winter/spring 2015 Adult Continuing Education (ACE) offerings. The classes — free of charge to seniors 55 and older — are offered in conjunction with East Hartford Senior Services. All courses are presented in two-part sessions at either the Goodwin campus, One Riverside Drive, or the East Hartford Senior Center, 70 Canterbury Street, East Hartford. Look What My Computer Can Do!: Part 1 on March 11, 5 p.m. at Goodwin College and Part 2 on March 12, 9 a.m. at Goodwin College. Countdown to Cinco de Mayo: Part 1 on April 8, 5 p.m. at the East Hartford Senior Center and Part 2 on April 9, 9 a.m. at Goodwin College. Picture This!: Part 1 on May 13, 5 p.m. at Goodwin College and Part 2 on May 14, 9 a.m. at Goodwin College. If you are eligible to receive a 1098T IRS Tax Form you will receive emails from inform@getmydocument.com. The emails will contain a link that will allow you to retrieve your 1098T tax form, which you must view in order to print yourself. In order to receive the 1098T electronically you will need to complete the electronic form provided and consent to the process. Please be sure to review the email for the spelling of your name and if is incorrect, please contact Goodwin College at 1-860-727-6784 so we can make the appropriate changes. Through the link provided, you will be able to view and print your 1098T Form.  In addition, you may select the option of getting the 1098T mailed to you via the USPS by going to “GetMyDocument” site provided.

DOT Seeks Input on CTfastrak East, Jan. 19 at Goodwin College and Whiton Library


The state Department of Transportation has announced informational sessions on January 19 to gather opinions on the new CTfastrak East operations. Goodwin College, the Shoppes at Buckland Hills, and Manchester Community College have been suggested as destinations for the new routes. Residents, commuters, and business owners are invited to make their suggestions to the DOT at the Jan. 19 meetings: Goodwin College Community Room, One Riverside Drive, East Hartford, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Whiton Memorial Library's auditorium, 100 N. Main St., Manchester, 5 to 7 p.m.


Goodwin students and employees are encouraged to attend the meeting to advocate for the College to be included as a stop on the CTfastrak East route. For those who cannot attend at that time, survey forms are available at the Welcome Center, One Riverside Drive, to express opinions.

Recycling Committee Sponsors “Cell Phones for Soldiers” January 25-31


Cell Phones For Soldiers serves troops and veterans with free communication services and emergency funding. You can help through monetary contributions and by recycling donated mobile devices. Newer or gently-used cell phones and tablets from all wireless carriers and brands are accepted. Each $5 contribution or donated device valued at $5 will provide troops with an estimated 2.5 hours of FREE talk time. The Goodwin Recycling Committee will host a drive January 25 to 31 in the main lobby at One Riverside. For more information, please contact Martha Ifkovic, mifkovic@goodwin.edu.
