Thanks to a generous
grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, The Hartford Guides, Inc.
will continue to provide mobile, light-service, roadside assistance in
Hartford’s neighborhoods on a 40-hour per week basis, totally free of charge. Currently,
hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The
hours will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure service is available
during periods of highest demand. Assistance is provided by a state-licensed
Hartford Guides security officer, professionally trained and experienced in
providing the service, which includes automobile lock-out, jump start,
