East Hartford Bike and Walk to School — 
Wednesday, May 14

Pratt & Whitney, in partnership with Bike Walk Connecticut, Goodwin College, American Eagle Federal Credit Union, and the Town of East Hartford encourage you to bike or walk to school on Wednesday, May 14. Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and get some exercise by walking or biking to school.The event will include information from CT Rides and CT Transit on alternative transportation options. A local bicycle shop will be on hand to answer bicycle commuting equipment questions. Heavy rain cancels the event. To encourage new participants, Bike Walk Connecticut (www.bikewalkct.org) is organizing Meet Ups and Bike Buddies. Check the website to see if there is a Meet Up in your area. or to sign up as a Meet Up ride leader. You can also pre-register online for the event, and you will get helpful tips and information.

Free Massages For Students

Relax During Finals Week!
A professional masseuse will be on campus giving free, 15-minute massages to students during Finals Week. Tuesday, April 22, 8 to 11 a.m. (Room 401) and 2 to 5 p.m. (Room 301). Wednesday, April 23 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Room 301). Walk-ins are welcome, but students are encouraged to sign up for a specific time-slot with Martha in Student Services, Room 144.

Support group meeting for pregnant women and breastfeeding moms. Mothers will be able to meet with other breastfeeding women and ask questions of accredited Breastfeeding Counselors.

Academic Success Workshop Sessions--Prep Session II for Upcoming Finals--April 14

The last stop before the big day! Final exams are literally right around the corner. Stop by this workshop to review for your final exam. This workshop will have two parts. First part will start with the review of the final exam study guide followed up by an open study session; students will have the option to ask specific content based questions, do practice problems, and cover information that will be on the final exam. Come with your questions, textbooks, and notes ready to study!

Transitions Food Pantry: You Can Help


The Food Pantry is in great need of the following items. You can help serve our community by dropping off items in the tall container near the front desk in the Main Lobby at One Riverside. Most needed: cake mix, canned chicken breast, canned chili, canned fruit, canned vegetables (carrots, corn, green beans), cereal, jelly, juice (bottled and boxes), oatmeal (box and single packets), peanut butter, ramen noodles, rice, and tomato sauce (jar and canned). Your donations are greatly appreciated and are a wonderful example of supporting Goodwin's mission of service.

Special Reception with the Business Writing Class

Please join students in the Management and Leadership Program for a special reception on Wednesday, April 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the main River Campus building. Goodwin students, professors, and administrators, business leaders, and community partners are invited to share in this evening of inspirational presentations. Management and Leadership program students will discuss their experiences working with small businesses and nonprofits and share their insights about supporting Goodwin's mission by building bridges between higher education and the local community. POETRY CLUB HOSTS SPRING READING
Enjoy our beautiful campus in spring, celebrate the Goodwin College Gardens, and listen to the wonderfully creative work of members of the Poetry Club. The event will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 5 to 6 p.m. at 133 Riverside Drive. Children are welcome. A rain date has been set for Thursday, May 15, from 5 to 6 p.m.
