On Tuesday, November 19, the Goodwin College Library Advocacy Committee welcomes author Tim Parrish for a reading and discussion of his novel, The Jumper (winner of the Texas Review Press George Garrett Prize for Fiction), and his memoir, Fear and What Follows: The Violent Education of a Christian Racist. The event will take place at 1 p.m. in Goodwin College's Auditorium. In addition to these two works, Mr. Parrish is also the author of the short story collection Red Stick Men, set in his hometown of Baton Rouge. His work has been anthologized in French Quarter Fiction, Wide Awake in the Pelican State, and Best of LSU Fiction. He is a professor of English and co-coordinator and architect of Southern Connecticut State University's Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program.
