Cafe Hours - Tuesday March 28th
Please note: on Tuesday, March 28, the Café will stay open until 4 p.m. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Café will then close for the rest of the day and evening.
Art After Dark: Neon Night at the Atheneum — April 6
The Hartford Consortium for Higher Education and the Wadsworth
Atheneum are partnering on a great, new event, Art After Dark: Neon Night on
April 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Goodwin is a member of the Consortium and this event
is designed to create greater connections among students. Every student with ID
will receive a gift from the Museum shop. After-party sponsored by Bear's
Smokehouse BBQ. Also featured: treasure hunt, poetry reading/poetry slam with Ben
Grossberg; a communal art project- to be displayed in the museum for
approximately one month after the event. CT DOT and Fastrak will offer an
all-day event pass for $3 (available at HCHE office). For more

Dental Hygiene Pinning Ceremony — April 7
Faculty, staff, students, family, and friends are invited to
attend the second annual Dental Hygiene Pinning Ceremony on Friday, April 7, 6
p.m. in the Auditorium at One Riverside Drive. This event recognizes our
graduating Dental Hygiene students as they embark on their professional
journeys in dental public health. Students will receive their official pins and
take the Dental Hygiene Oath, vowing to adhere to the highest standards of
professional care. A reception will follow in the Community Room.

Visit the Optical Training Store at 403 Main Street. Summer hours: Mondays and
Wednesdays, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., May 8 to August 2. All that’s required for your
visit is an eyeglass prescription, dated within one year. Services include
eyewear sales and consultations, minor repairs, and cleaning and adjustments of

Heavy Traffic Days on Campus — April 3 and 18
Pratt & Whitney will be holding events on the main Goodwin campus on April 3 and 18, both from 8 to 10:30 a.m. They are expecting about 800 attendees for each meeting. Please plan your travels to and from campus accordingly to avoid delays.
Goodwin College's Business and Manufacturing Center has opened the
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site and this season has prepared nearly
100 tax returns for local residents. The VITA program offers free tax help to
people who generally make $54,000 or less; persons with disabilities; and
limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their tax
returns. Local IRS-certified volunteers, including Goodwin College Accounting
and Business students provide free basic income tax return preparation with
electronic filing to qualified individuals. Goodwin College is providing this
IRS-sponsored program in collaboration with the United Way and the Village for
Families and Children. Operating hours at Pent Road for this service are Monday
through Thursday, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Anyone

Building Healthy Relationships
A healthy relationship is one in which two people develop a
connection based on mutual respect, trust, honesty, and support. Are you an
active part of healthy relationships? Are you looking for ways to improve your
relationships? Goodwin College counselor Stephanie Frascadore is planning to
host a workshop that focuses on what is most important in creating and
sustaining healthy relationships. If you are interested in attending, please
