NAVS FALL TO AIC IN SPRINGFIELD
December 13, 2013
Butova Gymnasium, American International College
The Navs men's basketball squad fell short of pulling off consecutive wins against the Yellow Jackets of AIC, dropping a close contest 75-68.
Co-Captain Travis Samuels was unable to make the game due to class commitments, but his partner, Co-Captain Mike Hemingway, dropped in 22 points and added 5 helpers to lead the team in scoring. Center Stefon Hall followed with 19 from the floor while pulling down 11 boards, against a much larger, and more physical squad.
Freshmen Tait Riggs and Leon Elmore each chipped in with 7.
The Navs will be hosting the Jackets at the new CTRA gymnasium, date and time TDB, before the teams head to Boston University for the NIRSA Regional Championship Tournament.
